History
In late 2006, we recognized the potential for a multifaceted event that could fully embody and convey the fundamental ideals of Alpha Kappa Psi—a focus on people, philanthropy, and professionalism—to accomplished Penn students. On January 31st, 2008, our vision for such a signature event was realized, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania experienced Alpha Kappa Psi's first Corporate Benefit: An Evening of Philanthropy.
At the Inaugural Corporate Benefit, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Jim Skinner, the CEO of McDonald's Corporation, as the evening's keynote. We recognized his efforts in selecting the Ronald McDonald House as the recipient of that year's $5,000 in ticket proceeds. Last year, we held another great Benefit featuring the Vice Chairman of Johnson & Johnson, Ms. Christine Poon, as our keynote speaker.
